Bethlehem, PA (November 23, 2021) - Seniors Dat Lambert and Mike Bealer combined to score 40 points and shoot 11-for-17 from three-point land leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past Moravian University, 94-63, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening in Johnston Hall.

- The win snaps a two-game win streak for the Greyhounds in the all-time series and moves DSU's advantage to 25-23 all-time vs. Moravian.
- The Bulldogs are now 6-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 season when DSU opened the year with a 9-0 record.
- DeSales ties the all-time record for 3's made in a game with 16 made triples.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs opened the game scoring 12 of the first 14 points and added to that taking a 27-8 lead thanks in part to 13 points from Bealer, including three treys early.
- The first-half lead peaked at 21 (33-12) at the 5:17 mark before Moravian finished the half on a 16-5 run to pull within 10 (38-28) at the halftime break.
- The lead remained 10 (55-45) at the 13:50 mark when the Bulldogs used a 13-4 run over the next 3:05 to push the advangage up to 19 points (68-49) on two more 3's from Bealer, a three-point play from Lambert, and two lay-ups from junior Keba Mitchell.
- DeSales cruised the rest of the way pushing that 19 point advantage to 31 finishing the game on a 14-2 spurt to post the final tally.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Lambert was 6-for-9 from outside the arc and led all scorers with 21 points.
- Bealer was 5-for-8 from deep off the bench and added 19 points.
- Sophomore Ryan Boylan was an efficient 6-for-7 from the field and had 12 points and added seven boards.
- Senior Matt Kachelries finished with seven points, seven rebounds, and nine helpers.
For the Foes
- Nate Dougherty and Alex Dietz each had 14 points.
- Thomas Abato finished with 11 tallies off the bench.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot a blistering 53.7 percent from the field and was 53.3 percent (16-for-30) from outside the arc.
- The Bulldogs bench out-scored Moravian's, 40-22.
- DSU controlled the glass, out-rebounding MU, 44-30.
