The Pioneers posted an early 7-2 lead, but Milton and Oteng hit back-to-back threes for the Wolves to take the early 8-7 lead and force Utica College to call an early timeout. Later, Daniel Obunse had the steal and hit Nana Oteng for the fast break layup to give Keuka a 12-9 advantage. The first half featured the game being tied five times and eight lead changes as it remained tight for most of the first half. DJ Billings knocked down a three at 6:25 to tie the game at 31-31. However, that would be the last points for the Wolves until Isaac McIlroy (Watkins Glen, N.Y. / Watkins Glen) knocked down a three with 37 seconds. In the time between, Utica scored 16 straight to build a lead. The Pioneers led 47-36 at the half.

The Green and Gold would cut the margin back down to single-digits in the early minutes of the second half. Michael Mignone (Poughkeepsie, N.Y. / Roy C. Ketcham) converted an and-one play to make it 52-43. Later in the half, Utica would find their range from deep as they went on a 12-0 run on the backs of three three-pointers to take a 75-51 advantage. Keuka College would score nine straight, capped by a long pass from McIlroy to Milton on the break to cut the lead to 20 at 86-66 with 3:16 left to play, but that would be as close as the Wolves would make it as Utica College continued onto the 92-71 victory.
