The Baruch College Bearcats lost a two-point heartbreaker, 60-58, to the Lightning of Lehman College on Friday night.

The visiting Bearcats started strong scoring the first seven points, but the Lightning battled back to tie the game and even went on to build a 26-15 lead with under four minutes left in the first half.

Adnan Bajrami nailed a three right before the halftime whistle to get the Bearcats as close as 26-20.

The Bearcats started the second half the way they started the game with a big run, this time scoring the first 11 points to jump ahead 31-26.

The Lightning came right back and the two teams were tied late at 49 with 3:25 remaining.

The Lighting kept up their momentum and from the tie at 49 managed to score the next eight points to lead 57-49 with only 1:30 left. That run proved pivotal as a late Bearcats' rally fell short for the narrow 60-58 loss.

Bajrami topped all scorers with 27 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Michael Richards had 11 points and George Smyth, Jr. notched five steals.

Will Feldman and Isaiah Geathers had 15 points each for the home team.
