MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg men's basketball player Donyae Baylor-Carroll was recently named to PennLive's Mid-Penn Conference All-Decade Boys Basketball Team.
As a high school player, Baylor-Carroll turned in one of the most historic four-year careers in recent memory, racking up a school-record 1,632 points at Milton Hershey en route to leading the Spartans to a district title and PIAA semifinal appearance. The Harrisburg, Pa. native led the Mid-Penn Conference in scoring during his senior year and was a 5A All-State pick in 2018 when he was named PennLive's Mid-Penn Conference Player of the Year.
The sophomore currently leads Penn State Harrisburg in scoring at 15.8 points per game and is coming off a game in which he netted a career-high 36 points, including 27 in a row in the first half. The shifty guard also leads the team in 3-pointers made and assist-to-turnover ratio. He was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week earlier this winter.
Baylor-Carroll was one of 15 players included on PennLive's Mid-Penn Conference All-Decade Team that highlighted some of the best high school talent of the past 10 years. The full list and story is available here.
The Lions (6-6, 2-1 NEAC) travel to Penn College for another conference matchup on Wednesday night.
