Baruch Defeats York on Athletics Alumni Day, Team Honors 1990-00 Championship Team

The Baruch College Bearcats scored the first 13 points and cruised the rest of the game to record an 84-60 CUNYAC home win against York College on Saturday in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats were up by 17 (44-27) at the half and later led by as much as 31 (84-53) during the second half to stay undefeated in the CUNYAC at 5-0.

Ten different players got into the scoring column as the team is now 19-1 in their last 20 home games.

Banjamin Boateng led the way with 20 points shooting 7-of-9 from the field.

George Smyth, Jr had a solid game with a season-high 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Sean Donnellan had 13 and Jehmehl Fair came off the bench to score 12.

Donald Hartley, Jr. led the visitors from Queens with 17 points. 

Prior to the game, the annual men's basketball alumni game took place with many former student-athletes from all basketball generations playing in a fun game.

At halftime, the team honored the championship squad from 1990-2000 that won the CUNYAC Championship and went on to play in the NCAA Tournament.
