LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2019) – Junior guard Marcus Gee (Santa Monica, Calif. / Santa Monica) of the Caltech men's basketball team has been named SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week for his high quality play in Saturday's 110 Rivalry game victory at Occidental College.

Monday marks the second time Gee, a former All-SCIAC Second Team player, has earned the honor. The third-year player found his way with the Tigers in the second-half where he scored 17 of his team-high 19 points to lift the Beavers over their greatest rival. Gee shot 50-percent from the field over 34 minutes of action and also added three assists, two steals and a pair of rebounds in the winning effort. Gee is currently locked in as the SCIAC scoring leader, averaging an impressive 21.8 points through four games.

Gee and the Beavers will have one more day to prepare for undefeated Hamilton College with a meeting set for Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 5 p.m.
