BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's basketball coach Josh Loeffler announced today that senior forward Harry O'Neil and junior guard Conner Delaney have been selected as team captains for the 2019-2020 season.

O'Neil appeared in all 27 games as a junior, averaging 16.2 minutes, 7.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game for the Blue Jays. In his three-year campaign, O'Neil has helped the team to a 58-24 record contributing 456 points, 235 rebounds and 55 assists. He has twice been named the Wall-O'Mahony Game MVP and is just the third player in program history to do so. O'Neil earned the honor in 2019 after a career-best 19 points and eight rebounds in the win over Ursinus.

Delaney, the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year and Honorable Mention selection as a freshman, missed 17 games last year due to injury. The rookie helped the Blue Jays to a 24-5 record and the Centennial Conference title in the 2017-2018 season, averaging 10.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. In his sophomore debut, Delaney scored a career-best 32 points while handing out four assists and grabbing two steals in the season opener against Moravian. Despite the injury, he has totaled 451 points, 152 assists and 128 rebounds in 39 games.

Hopkins will open its season on November 9 at 7:00 pm against Christopher Newport in Goldfarb Gymnasium.
