COBLESKILL, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost on Sunday evening to hosts SUNY Cobleskill 86-66 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference North Division matchup.
Keuka College (8-10, 5-6 NEAC) was once again led by sophomore guard David Oliveras (Great Mills, Md. / Great Mills) with 18 points. Trevor Powell (Manassas, Va. / Osbourn) finished with 11 and Ryder Mansfield (Concord, N.C. / Charlotte United) added 10 points for the Wolves.
SUNY Cobleskill 86 vs. Keuka College 66
The Fighting Tigers used numerous small runs to build a lead against the Wolves in the first half. SUNY Cobleskill made five three-pointers in the frame while shooting 50% from the floor. The Wolves cut into the margin late in the half, but trailed 35-23 at halftime.
The Green and Gold worked to keep the Fighting Tigers within reach in the second. A jumper by Achraf Sadouk (Williamsburg, Va. / Bruton) cut the lead to eight points, 51-43 with just over 12 minutes left to play. However, SUNY Cobleskill responded with a three-point play followed by a three pointer on their next two possessions to widen the game. SUNY Cobleskill would pull away late as they defeated Keuka College 86-66.
