Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw trailed 24th-ranked Wittenberg by two points with less than 30 seconds left in overtime, but Nick Felke hit a 3-pointer with 22 seconds left and added two free throws with eight seconds remaining to help DePauw to a 77-75 North Coast Athletic Conference win over the visiting Tigers. DePauw moved to 12-6 overall and 6-5 in the NCAC, while Wittenberg dropped to 13-5 overall and 7-4 in the conference.

Wittenberg led by as many as nine in the opening half at 30-21 with 3:48 left, but DePauw closed the half on a 9-4 run to trim the halftime deficit to 34-30.

The guests extended the lead to seven early in the second half after Mitchell Balser nailed a trey, but Matthew Godfrey hit two 3-pointers and Nolan Ginther added a jumper after an offensive rebound to even the score at 40-40.

Wittenberg led 57-54 after Jake Bertemes nailed a three with 4:22 left, but Cole Jenkins countered 25 seconds later to even the count at 57-57. Bertemes put the guests back in front with a bucket before Felke knocked in a three to give DePauw a 60-59 advantage with 2:41 left.

Balser's three on the next possession gave Wittenberg a 62-60 lead, but Andrew Kus matched that with 1:59 remaining to give the hosts a 63-62 lead. Following a Wittenberg turnover, Kus nailed another one from beyond the arc to give DePauw a 66-62 edge with 1:22 left in regulation.

Bertemes scored on a layup and, after DePauw missed a 3-point try, Wittenberg's James Johnson converted a 3-point play starting with a put back bucket to give the guests a 67-66 lead with 16 seconds remaining.

Ginther drew a foul in the post with 3.4 seconds left and made the second of his two free throws to even the score at 67-67. Following a timeout, Wittenberg fired a pass the length of the court, but Ginther knocked it away and the teams went to overtime.

The Tigers trailed 74-72 in the extra session before Felke's 3-pointer which came after a Wittenberg turnover. Wittenberg missed a 3-pointer on the other end and Felke drained both charity tosses. After a timeout, DePauw fouled on the inbounds pass. Balser hit the first free throw and the second went out-of-bounds after touching a DePauw player. The visiting Tigers got the ball into the hands of Balser, but his baseline drive was off the mark as time expired.

Ginther led four DePauw double-figure scorers with 18 points and added a career-high 11 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double. Kus and Jenkins each chipped in 13 points and Felke finished with 12 along with a game-high six assists.

Johnson and Connor Seipel each scored 18 with Seipel snagging 15 rebounds. Bertemes added 14 points and four assists with Balser totaling 10 points.

DePauw shot 39.1 percent from the field to Wittenberg's 49.0 percent, but the hosts hit 11 of 28 3-points to Wittenberg's 6 of 14. Wittenberg held a 38-31 rebounding advantage but DePauw grabbed 12 on the offensive glass for a 15-8 advantage in second-chance points. DePauw turned the ball over just 10 times to Wittenberg's 21.

DePauw returns to NCAC action on Saturday with a 3 p.m. game at Oberlin.
