COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the second week in a row, Capital University Men's Basketball is ranked in the national D3hoops.com Top 25, this week slotting in at No. 23. At 14-3 overall and 9-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, the Crusaders earned 76 points in the poll.

Capital began the week at No. 20 but a last-second, one-point loss to Heidelberg University on Wednesday ended a 12-game winning streak. The Crusaders scored only 62 points in the loss, the fewest points the Crusaders have scored in a game this year.

The team responded in a huge way on Saturday though with its highest-scoring game of the year, a 102-49 beatdown of Ohio Northern University in Ada. Twelve different players scored against the Polar Bears and no ONU players scored in double figures. It was the first time Capital scored 100 points in a win since Jan. 5, 2013 against Otterbein.

Capital will try to extend its latest winning streak to two games on Wednesday with a home game against Muskingum University at 7 p.m. The Crusaders will then travel to Otterbein on Saturday for a rivalry showdown with the Cardinals. Tipoff for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m. as well.
