Baruch Falls in OT to Worcester State (81-80)

The Baruch College Bearcats suffered a tough 81-80 road loss in overtime to the Lancers of Worcester State University on Wednesday night in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The Bearcats overcame a seven point deficit (53-46) with 12:10 remaining and would later go on to take a three point lead (73-70) with 1:41 left.

The hosts Lancers battled back and tied the game with six seconds left on a Frantz Francois layup to force the overtime in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.  

During the overtime, the Bearcats quickly jumped ahead and led throughout the extra session until two free throws with three seconds left by Chris Cardoso put the Lancers on top for good, 81-80. 

William Sixsmith led the visiting Bearcats with a season-high 22 points. Andre Harris totaled a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Cardoso was tops for the hosts from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) with 27 points.
