Millikin Men Off to 3-0 Start

          The Millikin men's basketball improved to 3-0 on the season after picking up an 85-71 win at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on November 13.

          Millikin took control of the game late in the first half and built a 39-27 advantage at halftime.  Millikin shot 49 percent from the field and went 7-11 (63.6 percent) from the field. The Big Blue converted on 16-19 (84 percent) from the free throw line. Millikin out rebounded the Kohawks 46-24. Coe hit on 42 percent from the field and made 8-31 from three-point range.

          Millikin was led by senior Elijah Henry with a double double with 24 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman Jack Marinko added 20 points and senior DaVante Harrell scored 15. Marinko went 6-7 from the field including making all five of his three-point attempts.

          Nolan Timp and Adam McDermott each scored 18 points for Coe.

          The Big Blue are home on Thursday, November 15 at 7 p.m. hosting Westminster College.
