How It Happened

• The Spartans got off to a good start in the game. York forged a 22-8 lead over the first ten minutes of the game as it looked like York might blow the Lions out of their own building. But that lead wouldn't last the remainder of the half.  The Spartans kept their lead in double digits until the Lions went on a 9-2 run to cut the York lead to 29-25 with 3:40 left in the opening half. The Spartan lead would not climb past seven the rest of the half and York needed a Dalton Myers tip in at the horn to take a 38-33 lead to the break.

• The Spartans came out of the break and got a pair of lay ups from Myers and Matt Scamuffo to take a 42-33 lead. The Lions scored 12 of the game's next 18 points to cut York's lead to one at 46-45 with 14:19 left in the game. York's lead bounced between one and three points over the next five minutes as York wouldn't lose the lead but also wouldn't be able to put the Lions away.

• The Lions cut York's lead to 58-57 one final time on a Keenan Wise three pointer with 6:31 left in the game. Sophomore point guard Jared Wagner then started a quick 7-0 spurt that gave the Spartans a 65-57 lead with 4:13 left in the game. Harrisburg cut their deficit to six on a pair of Anthony Bennett free throws but York then held the Lions to just five points over the final three minutes of the game as York closed out the game with 7-of-8 makes at the charity stripe over the final 1:50 of the game, salting away their 20th win of the year.
