New London, Conn. – Senior co-captain Eric Gendron (Merrimack, N.H.) scored 17 points to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 82-65 win over the Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's basketball action on Sunday afternoon at the Charles B. Luce Field House.  Trinity improves to 15-7 overall and 4-4 in the NESCAC with its second victory in a row, while the Camels fall to 6-15 overall and 0-8 in the league with their seventh setback in a row.  Trinity visits league rival Bates on Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m. in its next game.

With the game tied at 6-6 five minutes into the contest, Trinity sophomore Kyle Padmore (Milton, Mass.) got a dunk after an offensive rebound and the Bantams stayed ahead the rest of the game.  Sophomore guard Joe Bell (Milton, Mass.) extended the lead to twin figures at 23-12 by putting back a missed shot with 8:55 left and then hit a three-pointer down the stretch to give the visitors a 38-27 advantage at recess.

Trinity started the second half strong and built its lead up to 20 when junior Jeremy Arthur (Westbury, N.Y.) canned a trifecta to make it 56-36 with 14:09 left. Thee Camels came back and slashed the deficit down to single digits at 70-61 with 3:35 on the clock when Jack Zimmerman (Bedford, N.H.) found junior David Labossiere (Stoneham, Mass.) for a layup. The Bantams, however, recovered and relied on Gendron's to put the game out of reach.

Gendron shot 6-of-8 from the floor and 5-of-6 at the foul line, and also dished out three assists. Trinity sophomore guard Christian Porydzy (South Glastonbury, Conn.) added 13 points as part of a balanced attack, and freshman forward Donald Jorden, Jr. (Tampa, Fla) grabbed a team-high five rebounds.  Rookie Dan Draffan paced Connecticut College by racking up 22 points and eight rebounds, and classmate Austin Nwafor netted 14 points, and Labossiere contributed 15 points, five rebounds, and two blocks.
