RED HOT DESALES POSTS 103-78 VICTORY OVER KING'S

WILKES-BARRE – The visiting DeSales University men's basketball team scorched the nets by shooting 76.9 percent in the first half and never looked back as the Bulldogs posted a 103-78 MAC Freedom Conference victory over King's College Wednesday night in Scandlon Gymnasium.

With the win, DeSales improved to 14-4 and 5-2 in conference play while King's slipped to 7-11 and 3-4.

DeSales made 20-of-26 shots and were 10-of-15 from the foul line in the game's opening 20 minutes to build a 52-30 halftime lead. As well as DeSales shot, the Monarchs shot a pedestrian 29.6 (8-27) percent in the first half and committed 10 turnovers in the process. King's played much better in the second half, scoring 48 points compared to 51 for DeSales. But the first half hole was far too deep to overcome.
