RIVER FOREST, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team pulled away from Dominican in the second half on Wednesday night, using a balanced effort to win a second straight.

• The first half of the contest was close with neither team holding larger than a five-point lead
• Dominican led 20-16 with 8:49 remaining in the first half
• Benedictine closed the half with a 12-3 run to take the lead for good
• James Dietz kicked off the run with a layup and a pair of free throws from Brayden Olson put Benedictine ahead at 22-20 with 6:16 left in the first
• Benedictine would not trail again and Olson hit two more free throws late to make the score 28-23 at the half
• Three different players scored to open the second half with a 7-0 run as Zach Gorney, Olson and Kenny Bogus quickly extended the lead to 35-23
• Dominican did not pull closer than 13 the rest of the way as Benedictine secured a season sweep
• The largest lead of the game reached 19 points with 6:29 to go on a triple from Olson
• The contest featured a pair of ties and eight lead changes, all in the first half
• Benedictine could not miss in the second half, making 20 field goals at a 74.1 percent clip
• For the contest Benedictine finished at 51.7 percent after a slow first half
• Benedictine also held a 39-30 edge on the glass and dished out 21 assists
• Olson led Benedictine with 16 points and seven assists
• Eric Grygo posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds
• Bogus approached a triple-double with 10 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and four blocks
