• Benedictine put together one of the best halves of the season to start the game
• Kenny Bogus and Brayden Olson opened the game with baskets to give Benedictine a 4-0 advantage
• Benedictine relinquished the lead with 11:07 left in the first half but quickly gained the edge again on a three from Kejuan Glosson
• Holding a slim 24-22 advantage with 6:52 to go in the first, Benedictine closed on a 15-0 run to take a 39-22 lead into the break
• Bogus scored the final five points of the half including a three with 1:06 left
• Olson made a free throw for the first points of the second half, extending the margin to 18, and Marian never pulled closer than nine the rest of the way
• Benedictine shot 55.2 percent in the first half and finished the game shooting an even 50 percent
• Benedictine also held a 42-33 lead on the glass despite allowing Marian to grab 14 on the offensive end
• Olson led Benedictine with 22 points
• Bogus put forth an all-around effort with 14 points, seven boards and five assists along with three blocks
• Jens Soderholm scored 12 off the bench
