LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University men's basketball team knocked down eight first half threes in rushing past Concordia Wisconsin at home to break a two-game slide.
Benedictine 78, Concordia Wisconsin 65
• After a back-and-forth opening five minutes, Kejuan Glosson drained a three-pointer to put Benedictine ahead for good at 12-10
• The three marked the second of three in a row for Glosson and opened a 17-0 run which saw Benedictine open a 26-10 lead with 8:55 remaining in the first half
• Eric Grygo deposited a three-pointer as Benedictine hit eight in the first half to give Benedictine the largest lead of the game at 32-13 with 6:35 left
• Concordia Wisconsin battled back to within eight points at the half, closing on a 12-3 run
• Brayden Olson made back-to-back baskets as Benedictine netted the first seven points of the second half to open a 45-30 lead
• Behind seven consecutive points, Concordia Wisconsin pulled within 55-50 at the mid-point of the second
• Grygo opened an 8-0 run as Benedictine quickly grabbed a 63-50 lead
• The visitors pulled no closer than nine points the rest of the way as Benedictine brought a two-game conference slide to an end
• Benedictine 53.7 percent in the game, hitting 58.3 percent of attempts in the second half
• Benedictine made nine three-pointers and held a 38-33 edge on the glass, overcoming 21 turnovers
• Concordia Wisconsin shot just 31.8 percent for the game
• Olson led Benedictine with 25 points and added six assists
• Glosson missed just one field goal in the game, finishing 6-of-7 and 4-for-5 from three-point range, scoring a career high 18 points
• Grygo tallied 13 points while Jens Soderholm reeled in 10 rebounds
