St. Thomas Men's Basketball scored just 19 first-half points and struggled for offensive consistency all night in Wednesday night's 73-58 loss at Bethel.

Granger Kingland scored 21 of his game-best 27 points in the second half for the host Royals as he sank 5-of-5 in treys after halftime. Bethel had only six turnovers and halted a two-game skid to get its first MIAC win.

The Tommies (3-3 overall, 1-2 MIAC) made just 5-of-21 from behind the arc to the Royals' 9-of-21 clip. They trailed 27-19 at half and pulled within 46-40 with 10:03 to go, but a 9-1 Bethel run let it pull away.

Ryan Boll had 12 points and six boards to lead the Tommies. G.T. Johnson scored all nine of his points after halftime, and Elijah Hannah scored eight of his 10 points in the second half.

The Tommies play Saturday at No. 10-ranked UW-River Falls (6-1).
