BRUNSWICK, Maine—Babson College senior Bradley Jacks (Fort Washington, Md.) poured in a career-high 32 points, but Bowdoin College put four players in double figures and defeated the seventh-ranked Beavers, 80-71, in non-conference men's basketball action on Sunday afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium.

Babson, which had its nine-game road winning streak snapped, falls to 3-2 on the year, while Bowdoin remains perfect at 4-0.

Jacks, who scored 21 points in the second half, went 12-of-15 from the floor and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds to lead Babson. Junior Brandon Johnson (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) came off the bench to score 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, while sophomore Frank Oftring (North Attleboro, Mass.) chipped in with seven points.

Junior Jack Simonds (Falmouth, Maine) scored 22 points, classmate Jack Bors (Upper Saddle River, N.J.) finished with 15 and sophomore David Reynolds (Raleigh, N.C.) added 14 to go along with four rebounds and three assists for the Polar Bears. Junior Hugh O'Neil (Lexington, Mass.) recorded his third double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 11 boards in the victory.

Bowdoin, which led wire-to-wire, shot 47.4 percent and took advantage of 11 first-half turnovers by the Beavers to build a 14-point halftime lead. Simonds drilled a pair of three-pointers during a key 12-1 run that gave the Polar Bears a 41-24 edge less than a minute before the break.

A three-pointer by Liam Farley (Chicago, Ill.) and a bucket by O'Neil gave Bowdoin its biggest lead of the afternoon at 46-27 less than two minutes into the second half. The Green and White followed with a 10-0 run keyed by six points from Jacks, but a three-point play by Reynolds and a triple by Bors pushed the Polar Bears' advantage back to 52-39 with 14:05 remaining.

Babson got as close as seven at 54-47 when Hasbargen followed back-to-back three-pointers by Johnson and Oftring with a layup at the 11:13 mark. Bowdoin once again answered as Reynolds connected from deep on consecutive possessions to extend the margin back to 13 less than a minute later.

The Green and White made one final push, closing to within 71-64 on a hoop by Jacks before committing consecutive turnovers on its next two possessions.

The Beavers shot 45.8 percent for the game, but finished just 8-of-27 from deep. The Polar Bears shot 47 percent and scored 21 points off of 17 Babson turnovers.

The Beavers return to action on Wednesday when they visit Albertus Magnus at 7 p.m., while Bowdoin travels to Southern Maine on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

• Babson is 17-21 all-time against Bowdoin and has dropped six consecutive games on the road in the series since 2005.
• Sunday's loss was just the second loss for the Beavers in 24 games away from home going back to January 2016.
• The last time Babson failed to lead at any point in a game came in a 69-53 loss to MIT on February 6, 2013.
