CCNY Defeats Baruch in CUNYAC Contest (73-69)

The Baruch College Bearcats fell 73-69 to CCNY in a CUNYAC matchup Saturday afternoon in the ARC Arena.

After struggling in the first half, the Bearcats overcame a 15-point halftime deficit to get back into the game.

Down four with 20 seconds left,
Doyin Isaacmade a clutch layup that nearly completed the comeback, cutting CCNY's lead to 71-69. Forced to foul CCNY on the next possession, David Solano made both free throws to put the game away for the Beavers.

A balanced attack was key for CCNY, with four of their players scoring in double digits, in addition to the Beavers grabbing 15 more rebounds.


Chimaechi Ekekeugborled the way for the Bearcats with 29 points and six rebounds. Bryler Paigecontributed with 12 points.

The Bearcats next game will be Tuesday, January 31st, at 7 p.m. at Lehman College.
