ASTON, Pa. – Four Knights in double-figures led the No. 20 Neumann University men's basketball team to a 91-70 win over Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Tuesday evening.

Darian Barnes (sr. Yeadon, Pa. / Penn Wood) netted 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Knights. The senior also added four blocks and three assists. DeShawn Lowman (sr. Over the first five minutes of the game, the teams went back and forth and had a tied score five times. Marywood then went on a 6-0 for an 18-12 lead. Neumann answered with an 8-2 run for another knotted score, 20-20, capped by a free throw by Lowman. Lowman then sunk his second free throw for a 21-20 edge.

The Knights built up their biggest lead of the first half, 29-23, with 4:30 left on the clock. With 1:55 left before the break, the Pacers tied the game yet again, this time at 31. Marywood held a small three point lead at the half, 38-35.

The first five minutes of the second half was much like the first. With the teams tied for the seventh time in the game, Neumann started to make its move. Over the next two minutes, the Knights went on a 9-0 run. A three-pointer by Barnes midway through the half gave Neumann a double-digit advantage, 66-56. The Knights would not relinquish the double-figure lead and continued to build the gap throughout the rest of regulation to come away with the 91-70 win.

Neumann (10-0, 4-0 CSAC) will hit the road for the next four contests. The Knights will begin the road trip at Cabrini on Thursday evening for CSAC action. Tip-off will follow the women's game around 8:00 PM.
