GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Rosemont Ravens led for over 60% of today's game, but the Rowan University Profs put together a 7-0 run over the final 1:04 of play to steal a 99-94 win from Rosemont to drop the Ravens back to 2-2. Rowan improved to 4-1 with the win. There were nine tie scores and 17 lead changes in the game.

The two teams proved to be evenly matched in the first half, with neither team being able to get much separation from the other, with each team earning their highest lead of the half at only five points. The Profs were up by five points early, 16-11 with 13:13 on the clock. Only 2:23 later, Rosemont's largest lead of the half came with 10:50 left on the clock, when Jamier Hughes sank a layup off of a fast break pass from Itay Levy to give the Ravens a 23-18 lead. A layup from Tarrell Willis with 21 ticks left in the half gave the Ravens the slight 47-46 advantage at the break.

A tip-in by Charles Presley with 14:15 left in the 2nd half gave the Ravens their largest lead of the contest, 11 points, ahead 71-60. Still up by nine with 14:07 on the clock, neither team would score over the span of the next 2:27 of this high-scoring contest, until Rowan's Shawn Wilson drained a three to get the Profs back to within six points of the lead, with Rosemont ahead 71-65.

Buckets by Itay Levy and Kyle Lafferty would once again give the Ravens a double-digit lead, 77-67 with 10:39 on the clock. After a team technical was called on the Ravens, the Profs slowly started a comeback, outscoring the Ravens 10-2 over the next three minutes to climb back to within two points, with Rosemont still ahead 79-77 with 7:40 left in the game.

A big three-bagger from Khai Roberts seemed to right Rosemont's ship to put them back in front by five points. The teams would trade baskets over the next three minutes, but Rowan would re-take the lead with 3:27 left on a layup by Nick Dipersia to nose ahead of Rosemont, 89-88. The Ravens would stick their beaks back in front after a couple of free throws from Charles Presley were followed by a jumper from Kyle Lafferty to give the Ravens a 92-89 lead with 2:25 left.

Rowan's Dipersia would knot the game with a trey with 1:22 left, but for the Ravens, Kyle Laffertywas fouled and he calmly sank two shots from the charity stripe to give the Ravens a 94-92 lead with 1:04 left. That proved to be their last lead of the game, as the Profs' Depersia would strike again. This time, he sank another three pointer to give Rowan a 95-94 lead with 51 ticks remaining. The Ravens couldn't convert on their next possession, and with 24 seconds left the Profs scored to put Rosemont behind 97-94. With Rosemont  one possession down, Rowan stopped the Ravens and scored two free throws down the stretch to represent the final points of the game.

A big statistic separating the two teams today were the number of rebounds, with the Profs in control off the glass, raking in 37 rebounds against 27 by Rosemont. Rosemont's nine steals (vs. 3 for Rowan) helped to keep them in the game. The Ravens also held the advantage in bench points (33 to 23), and fast break points (8 to 4).

Kyle Lafferty shot 8-for-15 from the field and Khai Roberts hit on 6-of-12 (5-for-10 beyond the arc), with each player accounting for 18 Ravens points. Jamier Hughes scored 12, while Clayton Wolfeand Itay Levy each hit double-digits with 10 points. Hughes led the Ravens in rebounds with seven.

Rosemont next returns to CSAC play on Wednesday, when they take the short trip to Cabrini for a doubleheader against the Cavaliers. Tip-off time for the men's game is scheduled for 8:00pm.
