The Baruch College Bearcats won a close contest in overtime Friday night against CCNY, 81-79, marking their sixth win in the first seven games of the season.

Both teams played an extremely close game from tip-off; CCNY led 34-33 at the end of the first half, but the visiting Bearcats won the second half, 34-33, before narrowly outscoring the Beavers, 14-12 in OT, to improve to 2-0 in CUNYAC.

Doyin Isaac came up huge with a career-high 35-points, 10-rebounds, and three assists to go along with the game-sealing steal with 22 seconds left that secured the victory. He also hit two clutch free throws with nine seconds left in regulation that put them up, 67-66, until a late foul allowed CCNY to tie and send the game into overtime.

Chimaechi Ekekeugbor was the team's second leading scorer this evening at 13 points, to go along with seven rebounds.

The Bearcats also had solid games from Bryler Paige (11 points), William Sixsmith (eight points), andDwayne Brydie (eight points), who also made a critical three-pointer late in the overtime.

Despite CCNY leading in second chance points and getting more bench points, the Bearcats' hot shooting from three (8-for-18) ended up being the key over CCNY's long-range struggles (7-for-32)

The Bearcats will next travel to Hoboken, New Jersey for a game against the Stevens Institute of Technology on Tuesday, December 6th at 7:00 p.m.
