LOS ANGELES — Andrew Johnson had 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Occidental men's basketball team beat Future College 65-50 at Rush Gymnasium on Saturday.

Johnson went 8 for 11 from the field, coming on strong in the second half.

Jay Miller carried Oxy in the first half, scoring 11 points, to go along with eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Austin Dewitz had a game-high 11 rebounds, including eight offensive rebounds and a few key tip ins in the second half.

Oxy first year Caleb Yellin-Flaherty had a big night, going 5 for 5 from the field for 11 points and four rebounds in 12 minutes.

Dustin Watts led Future with 18 points and Thurman Thomas added 13.

Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 2-0 on the year. Future falls to 2-3.

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action on Nov. 30 against Bristol at Rush Gym.
