McDaniel Scores Game-High 26 in Reese’s All-Star Game

SALEM, Va. (March 20, 2016) – Senior forward Jordan McDaniel of the Rutgers University-Newark men's basketball team poured in a game-high 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting to lead the East All-Stars to a win over the West All-Stars, 129-120, Saturday in the Reese's National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III Senior All-Star game.
 
McDaniel went 4-for-10 from three-point land and 2-for-2 at the line, adding five rebounds, one block, one steal and one assist to his line. The Colonia native had three highlight reel dunks as well.
 
The East trailed 59-57 after one, but scored a blistering 72 points in the second half to overcome the West side and earn the nine-point win. The game was close from the opening tip as there were 14 ties and 25 lead changes.

McDaniel was the first-ever Scarlet Raider to earn a spot in the Reese's All-Star game and was one of two players selected to play in the game from the Atlantic Region (Will Fonseca, College of Staten Island).
 
A total of 18 senior student-athletes played in the game as there were two players voted in (one for each team).

Saturday's game was played at the Salem Civic Center prior to the NCAA Division III National Championship game.
