RICHMOND, Ind. – Senior Taylen Alexander tallied 20 points, but Hanover College's Corey Muchmore scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Panthers to an 80-64 victory over the Earlham College men's basketball team in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Saturday.

Earlham hung with Hanover early on as the Quakers hit four triples in the first six minutes. Leading by three, the Panthers closed the half on a 21-11 run and led 40-27 at the break.

In the second half, the Quakers got the deficit down to ten points on two occasions, but could get no closer.

Freshman Isaiah Waire added 12 points while dishing out seven assists to go along with Alexander's 20 points. Freshman Nick Sands added nine points and three rebounds off of the bench.

Wes McKinney, Cameron Fails, and Michael Van Kleunen joined Muchmore in reach double figures in scoring for the Panthers.

The true difference in the contest came on the boards as Hanover grabbed 48 rebounds including 15 offensive rebounds compared to 24 for the Quakers. Earlham did, however, covert 10-24 three-point attempts.

Earlham returns to Schuckman Court for the final time on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Quakers will host Bluffton and honor two seniors, Kedar Bullock and Taylen Alexander, for playing their final career home games that evening.
