Franklin Honoring Seniors in Home Finale on Saturday

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's basketball team will honor two players along with support staff members for Senior Day against Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, February 13, at 3 p.m. from the Spurlock Center.

The Grizzlies conclude the home 2015-16 schedule with the contest. Franklin is coming off an 83-71 home triumph over Hanover College on Wednesday.

Prior to the game, seniors Matt Niehoff (Rushville, Ind./Rushville) and Trae Washington (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) will be recognized for their contributions to the program over the past four seasons. Two senior cheerleaders and a senior athletic trainer will also be honored during the pregame ceremony.

Junior Aaron Mann (Indianapolis, Ind./Howe) continues to lead the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in scoring at 21.8 points per game. He tallied 26 points in the victory over Hanover. The guard is tops on the team with 6.9 rebounds per contest and is shooting 44.7 percent from behind the arc this season.

Washington scored his 1,000th career point against Hanover and is averaing 16 points per outing this winter. The guard leads the conference with 111 assists.

Junior Robbie Prather (Franklin, Ind./Roncalli) has made 24 three-point field goals and scoring 10.4 points per game. Classmate John Beineke (Indianapolis, Idn./Perry Meridian) is also averaging 10.4 points per contest, while grabbing 5.8 rebounds per outing.

Franklin made 14 three-point field goals in Wednesday's win over Hanover.

On the season, the Grizzlies are averaging 75.7 points per game and shooting 38.5 percent on three-point field goal attempts.
