Joseph made a career-best four 3-pointers in nine attempts. JP Reagan (Cortland) scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting, while T.J. The game was tied at 46-46 with about nine minutes remaining on a Jack Dignan basket, but Hampton gave Cortland the lead it wouldn't relinquish with two free throws after grabbing an offensive rebound on the ensuing possession.

Cortland led by seven at 55-48 on a Hefele trey with 5:17 left and again at 60-53 on a Joseph 3-pointer with 1:49 remaining, but both times Oneonta answered with 3-pointers of its own to close back with four. Hampton hit a shot with 1:13 left to give Cortland a 62-56 lead, and Oneonta missed three 3-point attempts over its next two possessions.
