Franklin Hosting Hanover for Bankers Rivalry Night on Wednesday

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's basketball team begins a weeklong home stand when it battles Hanover College on Bankers Rivalry Night on Wednesday, February 10, at 7:30 p.m. from the Spurlock Center.

First National Bank, Horizon Bank, MainSource Bank, and Mutual Savings Bank are proud supporters of the annual home men's basketball contest between Franklin and Hanover.

Hanover won this season's first game between the two Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opponents, 75-66, in Hanover on January 20.

Junior Aaron Mann (Indianapolis, Ind./Howe) continues to be the HCAC's leading scorer by averaging 21.6 points per contest. He ranks third in the conference with seven rebounds per game. The guard is shooting 43.5 percent from behind the three-point field goal arc and 85.9 percent from the free throw line this season.

Senior Trae Washington (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) leads the league with 105 assists. He is averaging 15.9 points per game and is tied for team-high honors with 23 steals.

Junior John Beineke (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) is averaging 10.6 points and six rebounds per contest. The forward has a team-high 15 blocked shots on the season. Junior Robbie Prather (Franklin, Ind./Roncalli) rounds out the team's balanced offensive attack at 10.8 points per outing.

Franklin is coming off a 90-83 loss at Defiance College last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hanover stands 11-10 on the season and is 9-5 in league action following last Saturday's 78-73 home win against Manchester University. The Panthers are led by Wes McKinney, who is scoring 13.7 points per game, and V.J. Billups, at 12.8 points per contest.
