LEICESTER, Mass.-  Becker College junior Kyle Credle (Queens, N.Y.) nailed a jumper with 3.5 seconds left in regulation to lift Becker College to a 65-64 victory over Lesley University in New England Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The Lynx trailed by five with 1:54 left in regulation when junior Devon Mayo (Newport News, Va.) converted a pair of free throws to make it a one possession game. The Hawks turned the ball over on the ensuing inbounds pass, allowing senior Chris Barletta (Valrico, Fla.) to bring the Lynx within one with a drive and layup from the right side.

On the Hawks next possession, Samuel Dorodola (Rosedale, N.Y.) missed a layup with 1:14 remaining, giving Lesley a chance to take the lead. Devon Mayo took a three point shut that rattled out, but junior Pierre St. Simon (Farmingdale, N.Y.) put back the rebound to give Lesley a 64-63 lead with 44 seconds on the clock.

With 25 seconds remaining, Kyle Credle (Queens, N.Y.) tried to give the Hawks the lead with a layup, but the shot didn't fall. Dorodola came down with the rebound, giving the Hawks another life. After Becker called a timeout, freshman Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass.) found Credle who drained a step-back 18-footer for what proved to be the game winner.

Mayo filled the stat sheet for the Lynx and led all scorers with 29 points to go with his six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. St. Simon earned his third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Terrell Toney (Lakewood, Wash.) chipped in with nine points. Barletta finished with four points and a team-high five assists.

Credle paced the Hawks with 22 points and five assists. Dorodola finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds to earn a double-double.  Kareem Davis contributed nine points while Rashaun Liggon ended his day with eight points and game-high three steals.

The win propels the Hawks to 11-9 overall and 8-3 in the NECC while the Lynx, who dropped their fourth game of the season by three points or less, fall to 5-17 on the year and 4-9 in conference games.

Lesley will be off until next Saturday, February 13th when they travel to Mitchell College at 1:00p while Becker will next play host to the Mariners on Monday, February 8th at 6:00p.
