Beavers Get Tripped Up on the Road at Lyndon

LYNDON, Vt. – The University of Maine at Farmington men's basketball team (2-14, 2-8) was topped by Lyndon State College (7-10, 4-7) on Friday night with a 78-50 loss in North Atlantic Conference action at Stannard Gymnasium.

Anfernee Dent (Jackson, Miss./Daegu) scored a team-high 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting and sank a trio of shots from three-point land. The freshman also had three rebounds and a pair of steals on the night. Nick Hilton (Wilton, Maine/Mt. Blue) added 10 points and six rebounds for the Beavers. Alan Young (Poland, Maine/Poland) set a career-high on the glass with nine rebounds, including a game-high five rebounds on the offensive end.

Lyndon's offense was powered by a pair of 18-point outings. Shaun Hill charted 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting with four rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Gabriel Torres also added 18 points with all of his offense coming from beyond the arc. Jose Berroa added 11 points off the bench for the Hornets on 5-of-7 shooting from the field.

UMaine-Farmington returns to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon at Johnson State.
