How It Happened

  • Trailing 11-9 with 15:38 remaining in the first half, the Ravens turned up the offense to outscore the Cyclones 14-0 over the next 3:56 to grab a 23-11 lead. The Cyclones would put together a seven-point run of their own to narrow Rosemont's lead to 23-18 with nine minutes on the clock, but Rosemont would put the game away, outscoring Centenary by a 25-9 count to take a 21-point lead, 48-27 into the halftime break.
  • The Ravens would continue to pour it on in the second half, opening up with an 18-11 advantage to open up a 28-point lead, their largest of the game, 66-38 with 14:38 left on the clock.
  • The lead would be too big for the Cyclones to overcome, and the Ravens ran out the clock to seal their win.
 

Ravens' Top Performers

 
  • The Ravens placed four players in double-figures, led by the 28 points scored by Marcus Thomas. Marcus shot 50% from the field, 12-for-24 overall and 3-for-6 from downtown. He also added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Thomas also led the Ravens with six assists and tied for the team high of three steals.
  • Jamier Hughes just missed a career-high in scoring with 23 points and 10 rebounds for another Rosemont double-double on the evening.
  • Khai Roberts was sizzling from downtown. All of his shots were taken from outside the arc and he converted on 5-for-8, as he scored a total of 16 points on the night. Roberts was also credited with three steals.
  • Kyle Lafferty also hit 50% from deep and put a total of 10 points on the Rosemont side of the scoreboard.

For the Cyclones

  • Myles McLeod led Centenary with 11 points.
  • Rashaan Spencer also hit double-digits for the Cyclones, scoring 10 points.
  • Paul Jones led his squad with seven boards.

Stats of the Game

  • Although the two teams shot an almost identical percentage from the field, the Ravens shot 41% from beyond the arc compared to 24% for Centenary. Rosemont made 11 three-pointers compared to five deep shots from the Cyclones.
