Gambier, Ohio - The sharp-shooting Oberlin College men's basketball team earned a wire-to-wire road win at Kenyon College on Wednesday night, securing a 76-59 victory over the Lords at Tomisch Arena.

The Yeomen connected on 13-of-24 (54.2%) shots from beyond the arc, and finished at 51.9-percent overall (28-of-54) in the win. Oberlin has now won five of its last six games, moving to 11-7 overall and 6-5 in the North Coast Athletic Conference - matching their league win total from a season ago.

Junior guard Jack Poyle spearheaded the Yeomen attack as he poured in a game-high 21points on 8-of-13 shooting, which included an impressive 5-of-8 (62.5%) performance from 3-point range. It is the seventh time this season Poyle has scored 20-plus points in a game.

Randy Ollie added 11 points and eight rebounds while Zach Meyers contributed 10 points to go along with seven assists. Eli Silverman-Lloyd completed a foursome of Yeomen starters in double figures with 10 points to accompany his career-high six rebounds.

Scott Miller added nine off the Yeomen bench, while Matt Walker finished eight with points and four boards.

The Yeomen opened the game on a 15-3 run that featured eight points from Poyle. However, the Lords would settle in and fight back to within four as Tyler Kimble's 3-pointer at the 9:07 mark cut the Yeomen lead down to 20-16.

Oberlin reasserted itself with a 7-0 spurt to take an 11-point lead, but the Lords would shrink the gap down to five with 2:10 to go in the frame. The Yeomen would respond, scoring seven of the final 10 points of the half to take a 36-27 advantage into the intermission.

The second half started just like first with the Yeomen connecting from long range. A pair of threes from Silverman-Lloyd had the Yeomen up 13. With 9:30 left in the game the Lords were within 11, but back-to-back triple-hits from Meyers and Poyle were followed with a dunk by Walker to push the lead back out to 19 and effectively put the game out of reach for good.

Kenyon's Tim Connolly came in leading the NCAC in scoring at 19.2 points per game, but was held to just seven points by the Oberlin defense, marking his lowest total against a Division III opponent this season.

Overall the Lords shot 38.3-percent (23-of-60) and lost the rebounding war to Oberlin 36-28. The Yeomen also out-scored the Lords 26-16 in the paint.

The Yeomen will return home to host DePauw University at 3 p.m. The Yeowomen and Tigers will precede the men's game at 1 p.m.
