Franklin Travels to Hanover on Wednesday

Franklin, Ind. - The Franklin College men's basketball team will conclude the first half of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) schedule by travelling to Hanover College on Wednesday, January 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Hanover, Indiana.

The Grizzlies are coming off a hard-fought double overtime home loss, 97-94, to Anderson University last Saturday.

Junior Aaron Mann (Indianapolis, Ind./Howe) has regained the HCAC's scoring leadership, averaging 22.3 points per game. He posted career highs with 34 points and 15 rebounds against Anderson. The guard has topped the 30-point mark in four games this winter. He is making 43.3 percent of his fields for the season and has made 51 of 56 free throws (91.1%) in conference games.

Senior Trae Washington (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South) is averaging 15.1 points per contest for the season, and averaging 19 points in his last two games. The guard also leads the HCAC with 82 assists on the season.

Junior John Beineke (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) ranks third on the team by averaging 9.9 points per game this season, while being at 11.5 points per contest in league action. He stands second on the team with 5.9 rebounds per outing.

Hanover stands 8-7 on the season and is 6-2 in HCAC play. The Panthers are coming off a 76-63 HCAC victory at Bluffton University on Saturday. Michael Van Kleunen leads the team with 13.2 points per contest. Wes McKinney (13.1 ppg), V.J. Billups (10.9 ppg), and Cameron Fails (10.4) are also double-figure scorers on the season.
