The win is the third in a row for the Scarlet Raiders who improve to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference. The Lions drop to 4-4 overall and 2-2 in the NJAC.

Snow scored 30 points on 21 shots, adding six rebounds, one assist and one steal in a big-time performance for the veteran. Classmate Jordan McDaniel had 17 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season, and senior forward David Azoroh had 11 points, three boards, three blocks and a steal. Sophomore guard Tyler Ofray had eight points and four boards, with senior guard Vik Singh scoring eight points to lead the Raider reserves.

Rutgers-Newark committed just 11 turnovers in the game and assisted on 10 baskets, totaling six blocks and five steals. The Scarlet Raiders shot 29-for-60 (48.3 percent) from the field, 3-for-11 from distance and 15-for-19 (78.9 percent) at the line.

With the Scarlet Raiders holding on to a 57-56 lead after a three-point play from the Lions' Eric Klacik, they went on a 15-7 run over the next four-plus minutes to open a nine-point advantage and the Lions could not recover.

A Snow jumper started the run, and after a Lion basket, an Ofray three-point play pushed the margin to four. Later, four-straight McDaniel points would push the lead to nine with 2:12 on the clock. McDaniel and Snow combined for 12 points in the rally for the Raiders, with sophomore center Dave Lunsford, Azoroh and McDaniel all blocking shots in key spots in the game-changing run.

Eric Murdock Jr. hit a pair of late three-pointers for TCNJ but it was not enough as Snow, and senior guard Morgan Dixon made free throws down the stretch to seal the conference win for the Scarlet Raiders.

Rutgers-Newark built an early eight-point lead (11-3) after Ofray hit a three-pointer and McDaniel converted a fastbreak layup, with the hosts coming back to take a 16-15 edge a little more than halfway through the first period.

TCNJ went on top 29-25 late, but an 8-0 run from R-N - punctuated by one of two Singh triples - helped the guests take a 33-31 lead into the locker room.

R-N scored 44 points in the paint, compared to just 26 for TCNJ. The Lions were led by a double-double from Murdock Jr. (19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds) and 18 points from Klacik. The Lions shot 25-for-63 (39.7 percent) from the field, 10-for-33 (30.3 percent) from deep and 11-for-13 (84.6 percent) at the line.

Rutgers-Newark returns to the hardwood with a non-conference home game against Centenary College Monday night at 8 p.m. R-N returns to conference play Wednesday in The Golden Dome Arena against Kean University.
