KALAMAZOO, MICH. – A 9-2 run in the latter stages of the second half helped seal Manchester University's second win of the 2015-16 season Sunday, Nov. 29.

With the host Kalamazoo College Hornets pulling within one (59-58) with 7:38 remaining, the Black and Gold's rally moved the margin back out to eight, and they didn't look back, building the advantage out to as much as 15. The final stages' flurry put the bow on a non-league win that was spotlighted by a balanced effort from the visitors.

The outside combination of senior forward Matt Brown (Hobart, Ind.) and junior guard Blake Brouwer (Elkhart, Ind.) combined for seven three-pointers and 31 points. Senior guard Brady Dolezal (Tipton, Ind.) turned in a big afternoon, tallying 11 points, five assists and a pair of blocked shots; sophomore guard Brody Kirby (Frankfort, Ind.) came off the bench for a 10-point game; and junior guard Chase Casteel (Monrovia, Ind.) had a huge day in the paint, just missing a double-double by compiling eight points and 16 rebounds.

Manchester University opens a stretch of back-to-back Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contests Wednesday, Dec. 2. Defiance College of Ohio visits Stauffer-Wolfe Arena for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.

NOTES: Dolezal recorded the sixth double-digit game in his last seven contests dating back to the end of the 2014-15 campaign … Casteel's 16 boards were the most in a game for MU since January of 2012.
