HANOVER, Ind. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology improved to 13-9 overall and 9-6 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 64-51 men's basketball victory at Hanover College on Wednesday night.

Junior Tyler Duffy led the Fightin' Engineer offense with 17 points on 7-12 from the field with six rebounds.  Junior Dillon Reynolds also reached double figures with 16 points on 5-8 fromt he field with three shots behind the three-point arc.

V.J. Billups led the Hanover offense with 17 points, and Kyle James provided offensive support with nine points for the Panthers.  Rose-Hulman hit eight three-pointers and shot 53% from beyond the arc, while Hanover hit just 26% of its three-point attempts.

Other key contributors to the Rose-Hulman offense included junior Jimmy Miller with nine points and eight rebounds; senior Corey Povaleri with seven points; and sophomoer Collin Wojcik with six points, three rebounds and three assists.

Rose-Hulman jumped out to a 36-29 lead at the half, with Reynolds surpassing his previous career-high scoring total with 16 points in the opening 20 minutes.  Rose-Hulman shot 50% from the field and hit five three-pointers in the opening half.

In the second half, Rose-Hulman pushed its lead to 14 points at 53-39 on a layup by Duffy and a three-pointer by Wojcik at the 7:01 mark.  Hanover trimmed the margin to 53-44 at the 6:17 mark, but Rose-Hulman outscored the host Panthers 11-2 over the next five minutes to secure the win.

Rose-Hulman moved into fourth place in the HCAC standings, while Hanover dropped to 11-11 overall and 8-7 in conference play.  The Fightin' Engineers return to home action against Bluffton University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
