BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater College put four players in double figures Friday evening and defeated Greensboro College, 74-63, in the BC/Don Glick Classic. The victory is the fourth in a row for the Eagles, now 4-2 on the season. Greensboro drops to 3-4.

Ed Reddick powered the Eagles offensive effort with a huge double-double performance. Reddick scored a career-high 31 points while also grabbing 13 rebounds to lead the Eagles to a 46-32 advantage on the boards. Kyle Welty came off the bench and posted career highs with 16 points and nine rebounds. Aaron Adams scored 11 points and Marcus Curry added 10 points and eight rebounds.

A jumper by Simeon Howard gave The Pride a 25-18 lead with 4:56 left in the first half, but the Eagles closed the half with a 14-2 run to lead at the break. Two buckets by Welty sandwiched around two free throws from Reddick pulled the Eagles to within one. Logan Seacrist then knocked down a short jumper for a 26-25 Eagles lead with 3:03 remaining in the half.

After two more Reddick foul shots, Howard hit a jumper to pull Greensboro to within a point, 28-27. The Eagles finished off the half with layups by Reddick and Adams to lead 32-27 at halftime.

A 3-pointer by Howard early in the second half pulled The Pride to within a point before a layup by Reddick game the Eagles a 37-34 lead. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Brandon Pascucci and Howard pushed Greensboro ahead 40-37 with 15:23 left in the game.

The Pride added to the lead with a 10-5 spurt, sparked by 3-pointers from Joseph Gatling and Pascucci, to take their biggest lead of the game, 50-42, with 11:09 on the clock.

Bridgewater then responded with a 10-1 flurry to regain the lead. Two buckets by Welty trimmed the deficit to four before a free throw by Edric Roberts put The Pride up, 51-46. Reddick hit four straight foul shots and Welty knocked down a short baseline jumper to push the Eagles ahead, 52-51, with 8:44 to go.

Greensboro regained the lead with a pair of foul shots by Devan Gregory, but Curry responded with a 3-pointer to put the Eagles on top to stay, 55-53. A foul shot by Welty and a layup by Reddick put the margin at five, 58-53. before Gregory hit 1-of-2 free throws for Greensboro. Welty made another jumper, but Gregory went to the line and once again made one free throw, cutting the Eagles lead to five, 60-55. Curry then drained another 3-pointer and Reddick scored from the lane as the Bridgewater lead reached double figures, 65-55 with just  3:40 left in the game.
