Three members of the Emory University men's basketball program have earned recognition on the 2013-14 Georgia Basketball Coaches Association (GABCA) All-State Awards Team.

Senior Jake Davis headlines the group with his berth on the first team and selection as the Division III player of the year in the state.  The 6-foot-5 Davis, a Second Team All-American as chosen by D3hoops.com, led the University Athletic Association and ranked ninth nationally in scoring with a school-seasonal record of 22.6 points per game. Just one of four Emory players to have been tabbed as a First Team All-UAA performer on three occasions, Davis scored in double figures in 26 of his 27 outings and ranked as the Eagles' top point producer 16 contests.  Davis rang up 20 or more points on 16 occasions and his total of 609 points established a program seasonal record.  Career-wise, Davis finished No. 2 all-time at Emory in points (1,870 pts.) and scoring average (18.3 ppg).

Joining Davis on the first team was senior McPherson Moore (St. Louis, MO), who concluded the campaign second on the squad and fourth among UAA players in scoring (16.5 ppg).  A First Team All-UAA honoree this past season, the 6-foot-2 Moore knocked down a team-high 60 three-point field goals, eighth on the Eagles' yearly ladder, and his 42.3 percent effort from beyond the arc placed him seventh in the league.  A starter in 21 of the team's 28 contests, he produced 24 performances of double-figure scoring and was the club's top scorer in nine games.  His 462 points during the 2013-14 campaign ranks seventh on the program's seasonal chart and he closed out his two-year career at Emory No. 1 all-time at the school in three-point field goal percentage (.432, 95-of-220) and No. 3 in free throw percentage (.865, 128-of-148).

Junior Michael Florin (Port Washington, NY) garnered honorable-mention status to the all-state team.  Florin started all 28 games and his team-high 5.5 assists per game was good for second in the UAA, 24th nationally and fifth on the Emory seasonal ladder.  Florin logged a team-high average of 31.9 minutes per game and his 2.55 assist/turnover ratio topped the conference and stood 27th nationally.  He scored in double figures in 17 contests, concluding the year with a 9.8 per-game scoring average, and finished with a team-high 41 steals.

Emory posted an overall record of 19-9 (9-5 UAA) and earned its second consecutive and third overall trip to the NCAA Tournament, where it advanced to the Elite Eight.
