Strong Second Half Leads Terriers Past GMC, 74-64

Sophomore forward Levi Barnes scored a game-high 22 points for the Terriers, going 9-of-14 from the floor. Senior guard Stanley Greene, Jr. scored 20 points and was perfect from the foul line, hitting all eight of his attempts. Senior forward Marquis Pollard added 14 points for Thomas while also grabbing six boards.
Senior guard Cassius Belfon tallied a team-high 11 points for the Eagles, going a perfect four-for-four from the charity stripe. Junior forward Robert Holloway and freshman big-man Javier Lugris scored 10 points apiece, combining to go 5-for-16 from the floor.
The game was very fast paced, as both teams utilized the fast-break and full-court pressure throughout the contest. The Eagles forced Thomas to commit 18 turnovers and snagged 10 steals as a team.
The Terriers looked to have a 28-26 lead going into half until Holloway banked a jump shot with three seconds left on the clock to tie the score at 28.
Green Mountain (3-10, 2-7 NAC) would start the second half red-hot, going on a 17-9 run in the first 5:33 to take a 45-37 lead.
The Terriers, however, withstood the Eagles' run and used a momentum change to their advantage through the remainder of the contest. 
Thomas would go out on an 18-10 run in the next nine minutes of the game, tying the game at 55-55 after a Greene Jr. make from behind the arc. The Terriers would take the lead less than a minute later after a pair of made free throws from sophomore guard Adam Carlsen.
Thomas (6-9, 6-3 NAC) would not trail for the rest of the game, outscoring the Eagles 18-9 after gaining the lead.
Thomas will make the short trip to Castleton as it prepares to face-off against the second-placed Spartans tomorrow at the same time.
