The UW-W defense held Superior to 34.8% (16-46) from the field and caused 19 turnovers. Whitewater's offense capitalized on the turnovers, scoring 24 points on their following possessions.  
 
On the offensive side of the ball, Eric Bryson led all scorers with 18 points, going 6-7 from the field and 5-6 behind the arc. KJ Evans racked-up 16 points and seven rebounds for the Warhawks. Quardell Young assisted on nine baskets and Reggie Hearn and Cody Odegaard cleaned up on the glass with a combined 15 rebounds. As a team, UW-W shot 45.3% (19-64) from the field and 55.6% (10-18) from long range.
 
The Warhawks came out on fire, scoring 17 of the first 20 points in the first eight minutes of play. Bryson was 5-5 from behind the arc and UW-W was 7-13 from the field to grab an early 17-3 lead. The Warhawks kept the pressure on extending their lead out to 26 to go into the half with a 45-19 lead.
 
At the end of the first half, Whitewater was 16-33 (48.5%) from the field and 9-11 from downtown. Bryson scored 17 points in the twenty minutes, going 5-6 from behind the arc, while Young had seven assists and Evans gathered five boards.
 
The Yellowjackets cut their deficit to 22 points, 47-25, to open the second half but the Warhawks extended the lead out to 33 when they went on a 15-2 run that was capped by a Steve Egan layup at the 12:42 mark.
 
The advantage hovered around 30 points for UW-W throughout the remainder of the game as the Warhawks shot 41.9% from the floor in the second half and 5-8 from the charity stripe. UW-Superior shot just 9-24 (37.5%) from the floor in the second half and was 0-4 from behind the arc.
 
The Warhawks improve to 19-3 on the year and 10-3 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  The Yellowjackets fall to 6-15 and 3-9 in the WIAC. UW-W is second in the conference standings and UW-S is seventh coming down the stretch.
 
UW-Whitewater will return to Kachel Gym for its next contest, as it hosts UW-La Crosse Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.
