NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's basketball team was unable mount a rally in the second half, as the Hawks fell, 98-74, to Buffalo State in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) game Friday night at the Hawk Center.

After Buffalo State wrested control of the momentum briefly, sophomore guard Keegan Donovan (Groton, N.Y./Groton) drilled a three-pointer to push the New Paltz edge back to four at 20-16.

From there, Buffalo State scored nine straight points, and after a freshman guard Jordan Glover trey, New Paltz went on a 7-0 run to lead one final time at 29-28. The Bengals led the rest of the way in the contest and broke out a full-court press in the second half that ultimately weathered a few spikes of momentum for the Hawks.
