LYNN, Mass. -- Orlando Zayas scored 11 points to pace a balanced attack for Fisher College in the Falcons' 72-53 win over University of New England in non-conference men's basketball action Tuesday evening (Nov. 26) at Fectau-Leary Middle School.

Zayas added eight rebounds for the Falcons, who received 10 points apiece from Chris Green, Ernest McNeil and Tyler Shular. McNeil grabbed a game-best 11 rebounds to record a double-double off the bench for Fisher, which held a 55-35 lead in the rebounding column.

First-year guard Justin Pollard scored a game-high 14 points to lead the way for the Nor'easters. He made three shots from beyond the arc, as did sophomore Devin Thompson, who finished with 13 points.

Down 26-25 with just less than five minutes to go in the first half, Fisher closed the frame on a 13-3 run to take a 38-29 advantage into halftime.

UNE closed to within four (43-39) on a layup by first-year Brayden Morse early in the second frame, but the Falcons responded with 16 consecutive points to put the game out of reach. The Nor'easters went nearly 11 minutes without a point during that time.

Big Blue is off for more than a week before opening up Commonwealth Coast Conference play next Wednesday (Dec. 4) with 7 p.m. road game at Eastern Nazarene College.
