Big Blue Suffer Road Loss

          The Millikin men's basketball team dropped its first game of the season falling at Coe College 78-70 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Nov. 23.  Millikin goes to 4-1 while Coe moves to 2-1.

          Coe shot 58 percent from the field while Millikin shot 47 percent.  Millikin out rebounded Coe 30-27.  Coe led 36-32 at halftime and pulled away from the Big Blue in the first 15 minutes of the second half building a 17 point advantage.

Millikin battled back pulling to within three points at 68-65 with one minute left to play.  Coe hit 10 free throws in the final minute to secure its victory.

          Millikin's top scorer was TJ Griffin with 30 points.  Deavis Johnson had 10 points and team high nine rebounds.  Tives Gardner also had 10 points.

          Matt Daoust led Coe with 17 points followed by JT Vonderhaar with 16.

          Millikin will be back at home on Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. hosting Blackburn College.
