The Millikin men's basketball team downed Westminster College 55-47 in Fulton, Mo. on Nov. 16.

          The Big Blue shot 35 percent from the field while Westminster shot 34 percent.  Millikin won the battle of the boards 36-30.  Millikin made the most of its free throw chances going 17-24 (71 percent) from the line while Westminster made 12-16 (75 percent) free throws.

          Millikin's top scorer was Tives Gardner with a career high 18 points while TJ Griffin added 17.  Jaylon Owens had a team high eight rebounds and Griffin added seven.

          Verdis Lee, Jr. was Westminster top scorer with 10 points.

          Millikin will host its season opener on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. against Blackburn College.
