Men's Basketball Strikes Past Lehman Lightning

BRONX, N.Y.— The John Jay men's basketball improved to 5-1 in conference play and 8-4 overall after an 83-74 win over Lehman College on Thursday evening.
 
The Bloodhounds were led by Isaiah Holman with 26 points. He connected nine of 16 shots, including 7-for-10 from behind the arc. Teammate Kris Owens came off the bench and added 13 points. Darryl Dennis and Jamar Harry chipped in with 11 points each. Oshea Alexander added a game-high 13 rebounds in the win.
 
Lehman College was led by Stanley Stephens and Driton Hasangjekaj with 11 points each.
 
John Jay led from start to finish and the Bloodhounds led 45-36 at halftime.
 
The Bloodhounds led by as much as 22 in the second half and coasted to the finish. John Jay held a 45-34 advantage on rebounds and outscored Lehman 17-11 on second chance points.
 
John Jay is back in action on Sat. Jan. 12 at Brooklyn College at 3 p.m
