ADRIAN, Mich. – Eric Lewis scored the final eight points of a 15-2 run as Adrian College pulled away for a 60-51 victory over Albion College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's basketball action.

Eric Evans scored four points from the line as Albion trimmed a nine-point deficit to 35-34 with 13:33 to play.

Adrian took control of the contest by scoring on seven consecutive possessions. Sean Gallant started the scoring binge with a layup, Ben Rodak followed with a 3-point basket, and Gallent followed with a pair of free throws. Lewis then tacked on three baskets and a pair of free throws as Adrian extended its lead to 50-36 with 8:45 to play.

Albion never got closer than six the rest of the way.

Four Britons scored during an 8-0 run as Albion enjoyed a 17-10 lead 7 ½ minutes into the contest. Rickey Jackson erased Albion's lead with six points in the final 5 ½ minutes of the half and Adrian held a 29-24 lead at halftime.

Lewis led all players with 23 points, and Gallant added 15 points and seven rebounds.

Mike Smith, one of the Albion seniors who completed his collegiate career, finished with nine points. Anthony Wash, another member of the Britons' senior class, produced eight points.
