Big Blue Men Suffer Road Loss

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost 92-77 at Aurora University in Aurora, Ill. on Dec. 15.

          The game was a back and forth contest for the first 30 minutes of the game.  Aurora held a 41-40 advantage at the half.  Millikin rallied to take the lead early in second half and the Big Blue were up 57-53 with just over 13 minutes left to play.  With the game tied at 57-57 Aurora went on a 22-4 run over a seven minute stretch to pull away from Millikin.

          Aurora shot 57 percent from the field including 64.5 percent in the second half.  The Big Blue hit on 41 percent of its shots.  Millikin won the rebounding battle 42-39.  Twenty turnovers proved costly for Millikin.

          The Big Blue had for players scoring in double figures led by #Mitch Wilfer# with 15. #Chase Robbins#, #TJ Griffin# and #Deavis Johnson# each scored 12 points.  Johnson led the Big Blue with 14 rebounds.

          Scott Laskowski had 15 points to pace the Spartans.

          Millikin is now 3-7 and will be off until Dec. 29 when they travel to Rockford College.  Aurora improves to 6-3.
