More news about: Albion

The Albion College men's basketball team got back to .500 with a 67-59 win over Elmhurst College in a non-league contest Saturday evening at Kresge Gymnasium.

A tale of two halves, the Britons could not find their shooting stroke in the first half shooting just 24 percent from the field and 17 percent from three-point range on 2-of-12 shooting. The second half proved to be a different story as Albion shot 67 percent from the field and only attempted three 3-point baskets, making two of them.

Leading the way for Albion offensively was sophomore guard Zach Hurth scoring 15 points. Senior guard Alex Harville and first-year forward Jordan Herron both scored in double figures as well.

Defensively, Mike Smith put on a tremendous effort raking in 11 rebounds, blocking a shot, and garnering a steal.

Albion improved to 3-3 on the season as Elmhurst falls to 0-4.

The Britons will be back in action Dec. 8, as they welcome Kenyon College to Kresge Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
